So that’s what I sound like…
About a month ago, my former Scrivener student Lynne Klippel asked me if I’d do an interview about Scrivener for her online author summit, Successful Author Secrets.
I was pretty nervous about the whole idea of a delayed-but-essentially-live broadcast, but I think it came out pretty well, despite being on my cell phone.
And I learned a few things. Like the fact that I say “absolutely” a lot. I joked on Twitter and Facebook that you could make a drinking game out of it, though probably only if you did shots. It’s maybe one beer’s worth. 😉
Turns out I also laugh frequently–don't you dare say giggle–though I somehow still manage to sound like I know what I’m talking about most of the time. My son was just explaining yesterday how laughing is a way to defuse social tension, so let’s say I defused often.
If you want to check out my interview, I highly recommend signing up for the whole (FREE!) conference. Lynne has a great lineup of speakers discussing topics like marketing, time management, social media, and ebooks.
Too bad I couldn’t have listened to Wayne Kelly’s “Insider Tips on Acing Radio Interviews” before this one, but if you want to, he's up on May 23rd.
