To be read
There are two books I’ve been anxious to get my hands on, and they both came out today. The first is CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MARRIAGE by my friend Kieran Kramer. Just from the title, you know this is a Regency historical that won’t take itself too seriously. CLOUDY is book three in her frisky four-book series The Impossible Bachelors, where readers finally get to meet Captain Arrow’s match.
Kieran’s upbeat, fun personality is reflected in her writing, and Regency England was never so much fun as under her playful pen.
The second book at the top of my TBR pile (well, Nook queue actually) is a debut from my Southern Magic chapter-mate Lexi George. Her book DEMON HUNTING IN DIXIE is a paranormal romance about a hard-edged no-nonsense demon hunter who meets his match in a spirited, sarcastic, small-town Alabama girl. Can’t you just see the sparks flying already?
I’ve been waiting a year for this book to come out. Lexi is a funny lady with a unique voice and lots of great little expressions that make me laugh. Paranormal isn’t my most-read subgenre, but I think demon hunters might just be my thing after this book!
