    I’ve been to D.C. (on a U.S. history tour with my son’s eighth grade class — a few weeks before we declared war on Iraq), but I’ve never been to NYC. One of these days …

      Darla: As well traveled as I am, I only went to NYC for the first time a few years ago. It’s a really neat city, and very easy to get around in. I enjoyed going back last year for my writer’s conference (in better weather). If you get a chance to go, definitely do it. Thanks for stopping by!

    Very nice Gwen, for almost 15 years, I lived in Northern VA and Rockville MD, worked at NIH and had 3 family members working in DC, one in the Pentagon.
    DC and PA are often overlooked in tributes on that day. That’s okay, DC takes its role as a symbol of our country very seriously but I want to thank you for the reminder. Nice work!
