Good Karma

The 2012 Fisker Karma

I got up close and personal with my dream car this weekend. The Fisker Karma. This baby’s the best of both worlds: sexy and granola.

It's an electric sports car with an eco-friendly interior, and if I had a spare $110K lying around it’d be my new toy.

I’ve stalked the Karma online, but over the weekend I got to see one up close and personal at the mall.

No, Kias and Dodge trucks aren't good enough for this mall. Tyson’s Galleria in McLean, Virginia—think Burberry, Nicole Miller, Coach, and (my not-so-hoity-toity destination) Sur La Table—has the Karma, a Lamborghini Aventador (another of my faves that guzzles gas), a Maserati, and a Ferrari on display.

Clearly I’m not the target demographic, but I had fun browsing.

I’m not a total gearhead, but the Washington Auto Show is in town through Sunday. Might have to check out my other—more realistic—dream car, the Volvo XC-60 Plug-in Hybrid.

What’s your dream car?

Haha, that’s a nice one, Rich. I like the way you think.

The Karma has a back seat too. And my kids are too big to need car seats. Actually, they’re probably too big for the back seat now that I think about it…

Oh, very nice. Glad I’m not the only one who stalks such things. With me it is yachts, though!

I figure I am a best selling author along the lines of Stephen King I will need to somewhere to go and relax. 😛

I could get into stalking yachts, David. For one of my older manuscripts the H/H start out on a yacht and I had to do a lot of research because I’ve never been on one. Wouldn’t mind having an excuse to do some hands on research someday. 😉

Here’s to selling like Mr. King!

Ooh, nice Mustang, Dave! I used to have a thing for the cherry red Corvette convertible in ROUTE 66. I’m kind of granola, but our dreams can guzzle all the gas they want, right? 😉

I guess my dream car would be a limo. The only way I could afford to be driven everywhere in one is if I keep dreaming. 🙂

I like the idea of a limo, Kathy. Or maybe just a driver. Too bad I can’t read or write in the car. Of course, if the car is fun enough to drive, I’d probably prefer to be behind the wheel.
